Unclaimed Money

Program Information
The Oregon Department of State Lands (DSL) administers the Unclaimed Property Program and receives millions of dollars each year for current and former Oregon residents. We may be holding your money! To check for lost assets such as uncashed payroll checks, stock and bonds, safe-deposit box contents, insurance proceeds or refunds and bank accounts, search for your name here.

All unclaimed money is held in the Common School Fund. Earnings from the fund are sent twice a year to all Oregon K-12 public school districts.

Why register? It takes up to 12 weeks for claims processing. Registering allows you to follow your claim's progress online

You must register a user account before you file your claim- we cannot associate a claim to your account if you do it after you have created a claim.

Registering is free and has many advantages:

Saves keystrokes- your registration information will automatically update your claimant data if you file a claim.

Your profile is already set up if you search again next year (over 250,000 names are added each year.)
